In the analog, or proportional, mode, at a constant inlet pressure, the valve actuator varies the gap between the valve seat and valve opening to change the fluidic resistance and, consequently, the flow rate.
The leakage ratio Lvalve is defined as the ratio between the flow rate of the closed state closed and of the fully open state Qopen at a constant inlet pressure:

Determine the pressure required for dosing the valve at an inlet pressure of pm = I bar.
